16th Annual Peach City Tees Up For Cancer All Ladies Charity Golf Tournament

Penticton Golf & Country Club
Friday, August 17, 2012 to Saturday, August 18, 2012

The prevention and treatment of Colon Cancer is the focus of this year’s Peach City Tees Up For Cancer All Ladies Charity Golf Tournament.  Funds raised in the August tournament will go toward purchase of a $47,000.00 Colonoscopy for Penticton Regional Hospital.

This is the 16th Annual Tees Up Tournament, set for August 17 and 18 at the Penticton Golf and Country Club. The theme for this year’s tournament is Beach Bums. The tournament committee wanted to add a fun twist to the event while being mindful of the serious nature of Colon Cancer.

The Tees Up Tournament includes a practice round on Friday afternoon August 17, followed by dinner and a silent auction fundraiser. Saturday afternoon golfers will participate in the 18-hole, best-ball event, as well as, a putting competition, costume contest, skill prizes and sponsor events. Both days will be a 1:00pm shotgun start.

There’s still space in the tournament for individual players or teams of four. The tournament fee of $115.00 for Penticton Golf & Country Club members or $160.00 for non-members includes the practice round on Friday, 18-hole tournament on Saturday, a light dinner Friday, barbecue lunch on Saturday, banquet dinner and prizes.  Income tax receipts for a portion of the fee will be issued.
