Greater Vernon Water Customers asked to limit outdoor watering

The Water Utility was worried about  customers watering on the weekend.

Increased flows and flooding in Coldstream Creek has caused turbidity to increase at
the Kalamalka Lake intake and Mission Hill Water Treatment Plant. The Utility turned off
the Mission Hill Water Treatment Plant Friday morning and  switched
the water system to the Duteau Creek Water Treatment Plant.

The utility was trying to reduce excessive demands on the water system, by asking people to limit
outdoor water use.
