No confirmation on containment of Wilson's Landing blaze

7/31/2012

Fire Information Officers with The Kamloops Fire Centre cannot confirm that the Wilson's Landing blaze is 100% contained.

Progress was made last night as crews were able to contain about 75% of the blaze and the estimated size was just over 26 hectares.

Officers hope to update the public later Tuesday morning with more accurate results.

Over 40 crew members were busy battling the blaze at any given time Monday as well as helicopters and water bombers.
