Penticton Liberal Nomination Vote Goes This Weekend

The Liberal nomination vote is set for Saturday at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre.

The four candidates, businessman Mark Ziebarth, former school trustee Connie Denesuik, Penticton Mayor Dan Ashton, and Summerland Mayor Janice Perrino are all in the running for the Penticton seat.

Penticton MLA Bill Barisoff announced his retirement earlier this summer from politics leaving the seat vacant.

The candidates will speak at the Convention Centre at 10:00 AM with voting expected to wrap up by 4:00 PM.

The new candidate will join fellow Liberal's at the Party's 2012 Convention in Whistler from October 25th -27th.

Results from the vote are expected to be released shortly after voting wraps up.
