Chief Jonathan Kruger Re-Elected

A new Chief has been selected by Penticton Indian Band Members.

On Wednesday members took to the polls and have re-elected a familiar face.

Jonathan Kruger was the clear winner garnering 143 votes and will once again serve as Chief for a four year term.

Joe Johnson came in second with 84 votes, followed by Laurie Wilson with 35.

Lavern Jack received 17 votes while Joseph Pierre managed only 16.

The first order of business will be to elect a new six person band council.
