Snnnore!
If your partner snores, you know it can be tough to get a good night's sleep. It seems to be heightened by cold/flu season. My sleeps the last few nights have been awful because Jeremy is snoring like a train. Seriously sounds like I'm about to get hit by the KVR steam engine! So I researched some easy ways to try to quiet him in the night.
Elevating your head helps. Apparently you snore when your breathing track isn't clear. So, if you add a pillow and make your head higher, it's easier to breathe in and out quietly. I added a pillow to Jer's pile last night and it helped a bit.
It's best to sleep on your side if you want to avoid snoring. I think the most snoring happens when laying on your back. Now I'm sure it's tough to train yourself to sleep on your side. But, one trick I found is putting something on your bed behind you so that you physically can't turn. After a while, your body won't even try to flip to your back.
Also, limiting alcohol before bed is supposed to help. I get that; some people have some pretty crazy loud beer snores!
Holly called in this morning and said she had the same problem with her husband. She said Breathe-Right strips have been a life-saver. I think I might put them on the bedside and see if Jer takes a hint!
Have a great weekend, sweet dreams
